Gatlinburg TN: The Vacation Destination

Gatlinburg VacationsGatlinburg Tennessee is the vacation destination for more that 30,000 people every single day of the year.

Whether you are into the sometimes rather cheesy shopping in downtown Gatlinburg, you are here to enjoy the many attractions like Ripley’s Believe It or Not, or whether you are here just to use Gatlinburg TN as the base for your southeastern United States vacation, there is something here in Gatlinburg for everyone.

Many vacationers that stay in Gatlinburg do so to experience the most visited National Park in the entire United States, The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This National Park welcomes almost 10 million visitors every year.

All those visitors, if they aren’t camping or RVing in the park the have to have somewhere to stay and that somewhere is usually Gatlinburg.

No matter what your reasons for staying here you absolutely must spend the greater part of at least one day, of not much more, walking around the downtown area to really experience what Gatlinburg is all about. There isn’t anything like grabbing some free fudge from one of the many vendors, or wandering into an art museum, or getting a cup of coffee and just sitting a spell in some nice cozy nook and cranny, or watching the candy makers pull the taffy or a million other things that Gatlinburg offers.

Then when you’ve worked up an appetite you can choose from one of the hundreds of restaurants, eateries, and cafes in town. And if you are in the mood for breakfast, there isn’t any better place than the Log Cabin Pancake House. The Log Cabin Pancake House is located at 327 Historic Nature Trail in downtown Gatlinburg. The hours are 6:45 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. April – December and 6:45 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. January – March.

Well, I could go on and on about the great things to do in Gatlinburg, but I’ll save that for the rest of the blog. We’re just getting started here, but soon you’ll be able to look around this blog and find out about all the quirky little things that make Gatlinburg what it is.

Stay tuned…
