Dollywood In Pigeon Forge Tennessee

DollywoodIf you are looking for the perfect place to take the family to a fun filled amusement park then Dollywood in Pigeon Forge Tennessee is your place. The park covers 125 acres and is located right in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge right near Gatlinburg TN.

The park’s amusement style rides include a wooden roller coaster known as The Thunderhead, the new Mystery Mine, Amazing Flying Elephants, the water ride Blazing Fury (be prepared to get wet), Busy Bees, Chasing Rainbows, Daredevil Falls, Dolly’s Demolition Derby, an authentic stem engine railway known as the Dollywood Express, a treehouse, a 30,000 square foot aviary known as the Eagle Mountain Sanctuary and much, much more. That’s only a small fraction of the rides and attractions available for the whole family during the day’s adventure at Dollywood.

Dollywood is also a great place to experience the history of old Tennessee where artisans and master craftsmen display their hand made works and have demonstrations throughout the day. Some of the displays include a Blacksmith and Foundry, Custom Glassworks, Lye Soaps, Handmade Wagons, Rainbow Glass Blowing Factory, pottery, leather and woodcarving shops and more. Dollywood is also home to five of the South’s largest festivals including the Festival Of Nations, KidsFest, BBQ and Bluegrass, National Gospel & Harvest Celebration and the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival.

Ticket prices are $47.95 for ages 12-59, $36.80 for ages 4-11 and $44.60 for Seniors 60 and over.
