Honeymoon In Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge Tennessee

Did you know that the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Tennessee area is one of the most popular areas of the United States to enjoy your honeymoon? In fact, you can also get married here as well because it is second only to Las Vegas in the number of wedding chapels it boasts.

My wife and I took our honeymoon here because it is one of the most romantic places you can stay in the Southeastern United States. Think about it, what’s more romantic than secluded log cabin hideaways that feature Jacuzzis and hot tubs, many shaped like hearts? An don’t forget the romantic hikes you can take in the Smoky Mountains, and rides along the mountain streams and mountain passes. Or how about the beautiful mountain vistas you can stop your vehicle on and just enjoy the incredible scenery for only a few moments or maybe spend the afternoon having a picnics enjoying watching distant mountain peaks.

But it gets even better. Now, think about it what’s the most time consuming and difficult part of getting married? That would be planning the wedding. Well, you’re in luck because there are also many wedding planners here in the Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge area so you can just come to the Smokies and let someone else handle all the odds and ends of planning your wedding and you can relax and enjoy the beautiful mountains.

And if you do plan on making Gatlinburg Tennessee the place for your honeymoon, here are a few cabin rentals listed below that will suit the romantic couple because they are planned specifically for you:

Gatlinburg Log Cabin With View of Mt LeConte- Enjoy relaxing in the outdoor hot tub while viewing beautiful Mt LeConte. And yes, this cabin has a heart shaped jacuzzi.

Close To Heaven Cabin Rental In Pigeon Forge – This is the perfect cabin rental for honeymooners because it sleeps only 2 people and features a very secluded location.

Hanky Pank Pigeon Forge Cabin Rental – Well, the name just about says it all.

Irresistible – The Perfect Pigeon Forge Cabin Rental – Another honeymoon cabin with a great, secluded location.

Titanic Exhibit & Museum Planned For Pigeon Forge

Movie fans and history buffs of the infamous Titanic will have a new attraction to visit sometime in early spring of 2010 in downtown Pigeon Forge. The new attraction will be built to resemble the glorious “unsinkable” cruise ship in all its grandeur that now unfortunately rests at the bottom of the ocean in the North Atlantic.

Titanic Pigeon Forge as the attraction is aptly named will be built with direct access right off the Pigeon Forge Parkway at a cost of approximately $25 million and will feature artifacts from the Titanic itself in some of its 20 galleries on the 2 deck 30,000 square foot structure that will be half the size of the original. The treasures from the Titanic are not taken from the modern day wreckage site though. They were recovered during rescue efforts and were what passengers took from the ship as it sank. Many of the artifacts have never been on display to the public before.

The museum/attraction will also feature none other than an exact replica of the Grand Staircase and a first class and third class cabin. The actual feel and tragedy of the Titanic sinking will also be available for visitors to experience when they can experience what 28 degree water feels like, touch an iceberg and climb into a lifeboat.

The new attraction to Pigeon Forge Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg area will be built on a 5+ acre site near the Black Bear Jamboree on the northern end of the Pigeon Forge Parkway. Touring the museum will be self guided and should take approximately 90 minutes. Not only will Titanic Pigeon Forge be a museum for families to enjoy its creators say that it will also serve as a monument to the 2,208 passenger who sailed the ship on its fateful voyage.

Visit the Titanic Pigeon Forge web site.
