New Sevier County Directory

If you have a business that maintains a web site in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville or anywhere in Sevier County, you might be interested to know that we’ve started the Sevier County Directory that’s growing like wildfire. Best of all, you can be listed in the directory for free. That’s right, no charge. All you have to have is a business that has a physical address in Sevier County and a functioning web site.

It can be any business that would be listed in the Yellow Pages such as a cabin rental or cabin management company, a Realtor, a restaurant, a car repair business, an attorney, just about any kind of retail store, a tourist attraction, a church, a bed and breakfast or nearly anything.

A few guidelines are required though. Obviously you need to have a functioning web site that is locally based. If you are a cabin owner that rents your cabin through a management company, we will only list the management company, unless your cabin has its own specific web site with its own unique url. We don’t normally list most national franchises that have local businesses, like major hotel chains for instance. You also need to follow the prescribed protocol for submitting your web site. It is important that you follow the directions or your site may not be listed.

You might want to also check out the directory to see if your business is already listed. I add new businesses every day and very well may have yours listed already. You do have to register to submit your business and submit your business to the correct category. To do that you need to go to that specific category and submit from there.

My goal here is to build a directory for all of Sevier County for the residents and for the millions of tourists that bring their families here every year to vacation and enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains recreation area.

Cherokee Grill Gatlinburg Restaurant

After spending the day shopping in downtown Gatlinburg or hiking on the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, it’s time to sit down to a delicious late lunch or dinner. The Cherokee Grill can supply all of your culinary needs in a comfortable lodge setting. This Gatlinburg restaurant is located right on the main strip in the downtown area and within walking distance of many hotels and vacation condos.

They feature tempting appetizers such as Fried Portabella Mushrooms, Cherokee Grill Egg Rolls, seafood, chicken, sandwiches, burgers, soups, salads and of course steaks. Plus they have their own brands of beer made in their private brewery.

Stop in and enjoy a tasty meal at the Cherokee Grill.

Picture Of Gatlinburg Log Cabin Pancake House

Bummer about the All American Pancake House burning down in Pigeon Forge but, not to worry, you can still get a great breakfast, with great pancakes, in Gatlinburg at the Log Cabin Pancake House on Historic Nature Trail.

My favorite breakfast is the Caribbean pancakes with bananas, walnuts, coconut and whipped cream and boy is it tasty. There’s also a Log Cabin Pancake House in Pigeon Forge on the main Parkway, but I prefer the one in Gatlinburg because Gatlinburg is more friendly to walking around town. The last time we were there we walked from our hotel to the restaurant, something you can’t do in Pigeon Forge unless you are staying rather close.

Doesn’t the picture of the Log Cabin Pancake House in Downtown Gatlinburg make you hungry and feel at home.

Famous Pigeon Forge Restaurant Burns

By the time Pigeon Forge firefighters arrived at the once famous All American Pancake House on New Year’s Eve it was 60% engulfed in flames. The more than 20 year old building was a famous landmark on the strip in downtown Pigeon Forge visited by loyal patrons who now mourn its loss. It was located at the intersection of 441 and Wears Valley Road.

The age of the building and its mostly wood construction contributed to its quick demise as firefighters admitted there wasn’t much they could do to extinguish the blaze. Friends of the restaurant owner were able to help salvage most of the food in the restaurant’s freezer.

For those still needing a great place to get a delicious breakfast I’ve been to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg a number of times over the years and our favorite restaurant has been the rival Log Cabin Pancake House. The Pigeon Forge location is at 4235 Parkway – Pigeon Forge, TN and the Gatlinburg location is 327 Historic Nature Trail, Gatlinburg, TN.

Don’t worry Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge vacationers, even though one of the most famous landmarks in town is now gone, you won’t go hungry.
