While you’re enjoying a great vacation in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area of the Smoky Mountains you’ll probably want to enjoy some of the attractions and adventures this family vacation resort area has to offer. One of the coolest places you can visit is Flyaway Indoor Skydiving in Pigeon Forge where you can make like you are jumping out of an airplane, without the risk of course.
The way indoor skydiving works is that you essentially dive into the path of wind produced in a vertical wind tunnel while wearing a special suit that catches the wind and goggles so the wind doesn’t bother your eyes. Taking a flight, as they call it, at Flyaway is relatively inexpensive costing only $31.95 for a single flight session and then you can get 2 additional flights the same day for $20.95.
Your first session consists of a 20 minutes of training where you learn body control techniques and safety, 15 minutes of equipment preparation and then your flight lasts for 3 minutes. there are also programs for skydiving coaching and large group events such as team building for your company.
Flyaway Indoor Skydiving is located conveniently on the Pigeon Forge Parkway right at traffic light number 5. Traffic lights are numbered in Pigeon Forge to help you find things a little better.
Operating hours are every day 10:45 am to 6:00 pm except Wednesday’s when they are closed.

If you have a business that maintains a web site in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville or anywhere in Sevier County, you might be interested to know that we’ve started the Sevier County Directory that’s growing like wildfire. Best of all, you can be listed in the directory for free. That’s right, no charge. All you have to have is a business that has a physical address in Sevier County and a functioning web site.
It can be any business that would be listed in the Yellow Pages such as a cabin rental or cabin management company, a Realtor, a restaurant, a car repair business, an attorney, just about any kind of retail store, a tourist attraction, a church, a bed and breakfast or nearly anything.
A few guidelines are required though. Obviously you need to have a functioning web site that is locally based. If you are a cabin owner that rents your cabin through a management company, we will only list the management company, unless your cabin has its own specific web site with its own unique url. We don’t normally list most national franchises that have local businesses, like major hotel chains for instance. You also need to follow the prescribed protocol for submitting your web site. It is important that you follow the directions or your site may not be listed.
You might want to also check out the directory to see if your business is already listed. I add new businesses every day and very well may have yours listed already. You do have to register to submit your business and submit your business to the correct category. To do that you need to go to that specific category and submit from there.
My goal here is to build a directory for all of Sevier County for the residents and for the millions of tourists that bring their families here every year to vacation and enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains recreation area.
